There is a program called mirror which does what I believe you wish to achieve,
I'm not sure of the *official* site of it, but I have a copy on my machine that
you are more than welcome to retrieve. You may find the file mirror-2.8.tar.gz
by going to: http://24.92.50.102:60800/ftp/pub/misc.
You're also welcome to anything else you find there, I have a small collection
of various Linux related stuff available, and I also use mirror to mirror part
of the redhat site under /ftp/mirror/redhat. As far as my connection to the
internet, you'll find that it's probably faster than a T1 site. So if you have
a high speed connection, feel free to suck down as much as you like :)
