At my company we use a cgi perl script, a shell perl script, and four
cronjobs to perform this service. We support the following features.
New passwords can only be created by the web wizard (security manager).
The cgi script requests a change in password,
requires the old password
notifies the web wizard immediately
does not take effect immediately
if not vetoed, takes effect after a delay time
We use htpasswd and httpd-1.5.
I'll send the scripts direct upon request, but don't expect that it is
worth list bandwidth.
