Hello, Magicfilter works fine for me with Debian 2.0, although I have to say I am using HP printers :) Is the printer connected locally or remotely via net? If it is connected remotely you need to modify the /etc/printcap file which is made with magicfilter. You can also run the following test: Get a small postscript file (file.ps) and convert it to HP LaserJet 4 (PCL) like this gs -q -sDEVICE=laserjet -dNOPAUSE -sOutputFile=out.lj file.ps < /dev/null the send this file directly to the printer port cat out.lj > /dev/lpX where lpX can be lp0,lp1,lp2 or lp3. That way you can rule out an error in magicfilter and spot the error in your configuration or printer port. Also check that you have the lp module installed (with lsmod) to be able to use the printer ports. Good luck Xavier Calbet
