When I use tar, I sometimes get horrible errors like "Unable to handle
kernel NULL-pointer" and even "General protection fault". Once I got this
error using cp, too. I think it has something to do with my memory,
(I have a 386sx16 with 4Mb RAM)
because the frequency of this errors grows when use installpkg or the
setup-script instead of tar. I use slackware-linux (I'm not sure which
version, I't about a year old), my kernel version is 2.0.30 and my tar
version 1.12 (They're all precompiled binaries) Is it a kernel-bug (Do
they exist??? :)), is this buggy memory or something?
I cannot unmount my ext2-partition if I get such an error, and I hate
seeing my Linux-partition to be damaged :(

Is there any kernel-module supporting ntfs?

Cogito ergo adhibeo Linux
