Greetings: Years ago when running Coherent Unix I used a program
called dumpscreen that was very handy - capturing whatever text was
on the screen and sending it to stdout, or re-direct as needed..

Moving to Linux, the same program compiled and worked fine as long as
I was using a monochrome monitor and I expect it would work with CGA
colour too as it had a -c flag, but never tried by me.

Now, with a SVGA monitor and Diamond card it does not perform and I
miss it..

Does anyone know of a similar program I could use in it's place? I
know about 'script' for saving the screen but dumpscreen was much
handier when something came up you didn't expect and wanted to save.
All of my normal searching has been in vain so far. Thank you,
