        Greetings Jim: I'm a firm believer in conserving space in
databases but my wife's ISP supports 12 character usernames,
therefore my dilemma.. I thought, at the time, this might be a *new*
standard. She wont change - the rest of the world has to. <grin> I
agree with you that eight should be enough but I have to live with
