Thank you for the help and Happy New Year.

I did the 1, 2, and 3 as you said. It only worked once. After I got my mails, I
closed Netscape and restart again. It crashed again when I tried to access my mail
box. And I found that there was still a lock file in /root/.netscape after I
closed Netscape normally. When I opened Netscape again it didn't show any message.
I just crashed if I get my mails. This lock file supposes to indicate an Netscape
is running, and it normally generate a message saying 'another Netscape is
running, you can not use the cache. Do you want to go on?' If I open Netscape
twice. The lock file should be removed automatically if Netscape is closed
normally.

I manually removed the lock file and did 1) again, it worked for one time. I
repeated this actions it didn't work most of time. I believe something is not
closed completely when I close Netscape. But I don't know what that is.

A clue? I don't remember exactly which packages I upgraded. Here is how I did my
upgrade(it could be the wrong way): I use the installation CD to start Linux,
then I choose upgrade instead of install. I selected a lot of packages I thought I
didn't install before. I remember I installed the IP chain package and almost
everything under /Internet category plus the kernel source.

I am still working on this problem. Please send your advice. Thank you again.
