Ghostscript has a driver for deskjet printers - cdj550. I used it on a HP
Deskjet 610C and it works nicely. I suppose it will do on a 710 too. Just
type:

gs -sDEVICE=cdj550 -sOutputFile=yourfile.pcl yourfile.ps

and then you'll be able to lpr yourfile.pcl.
