I think Chang build up Microwindows under KDE window manager or not logon in
root level. The problem can be solved when you run GNOME window manager, for
example. Alternatively, you may enter the following command and then make
xconfig without error.
su -
make xconfig
You have to choose ARM Linux instead of native Linux on the pop-up window,
choose touch screen accordingly.
Secondly, you type the following command to create the elf file.
make clean
make
You should see demo programs in bin subdirectory including nano-X, nanomw, mine,
.... etc.
Finally, you mount the ramdisk and then copy most demo programs to the ramdisk.
mount -o loop -t ext2 ramdisk /mnt
mkdir /mnt/microwin/bin
cp <demo program> /mnt/microwin/bin
umount /mnt
cat ramdisk | gzip -v9 >ramdisk.gz
and then download the zImage and ramdisk.gz by using angelboot utility.
Unluckily, I find the ramdisk size is not big enough to hold all demo programs.
Do anyone know how to increase the ramdisk size?
Please advise.
Now, you should run and see a mine game in your Assabet board but the touch
screen seem not work.

I find there may be a program bugs in the touch screen driver mou_ts.c of
Microwindows.

By the way, I have the following problems. Please advise.
1. I want to run vnc program on Assabet. What should I do to connect to the host
computer?
What configuration should I do to activate the network since I even cannot ping
the host computer?
2. How to configure the FLTK, eg. Makefile such that I can run FLTK on Assabet?
3. How can I use the keyboard and mouse in Assabet?
4. How can I turn on the back light of LCD for clear image? (As you may know, it
is too dim to see the image on LCD without back light on)
How to program Board Control Register (0x12000000) in kernel such that the
back light is turnned on by default?
5. How can I activate the sound codec such that I can play mp3 on Assabet?
May be too much... discuss later. Thank for all guy who give valuable
information in the past. I do have to work hard to cater know-how since I am
novice in linux at present.
