Ok, for everyone who's trying to access the ftp site,
Its a little more serious than just a crash or whatnot. No, the machine
is still alive and healthy, and is running (ah-hem) quite happily.
I've added a "tweak" so that it has a superiour "ftp daemon" which will
actually tell you some information (novel idea, eh?).
Anyway, the upshot of it is that ftp access has been shut down for the
time being due to a security related issue, and will not be restored
until this issue is fixed. Until then, the FTP archives are accessible
via the URL:
http://ftp.linux.org.uk/
Please do not assume that this address will always take you to the files
you are after; the only addresses which are guaranteed to do that are the
ones under the ".arm.linux.org.uk" domain.
Alternatively, use one of the ftp mirror sites (see the web pages on
http://www.arm.linux.org.uk/ for information on these).
