Hi,
I bought the Arm Linux CD from Aleph one a good few months ago (version 0.9
according to the label on the CD) and I am unable to mount my CD drive. My CD
drive is a Ricoh MP7040S re-writer connected to an Eesox fast SCSI card. This
is the CD drive and card I used to install Linux with.

When I try to mount the drive I get the message:-

/dev/cdrom is not a block device.

I have added to fstab the following line:-
dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom ISO9660 noauto,user 0 0

I have created the directory /mnt/cdrom and created a soft link

ln -s /dev/sga /dev/cdrom

Also originally I had a SCSI hard disc connected, but with this I couldn't even
get the SCSI driver to install so I dissconnected it. I just kept getting
repeating messages going round in an infinate loop. The drive is a Quantum
XP34300.

The SCSI card is device 7, CD rewriter device 0 and the hard disc was device 4
when it was connected. My computer is an RPC 700 upgraded to strongarm.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Peter Wilcox
