Definitely colour. Not sure about the subsampling, I think 4:2:0,
but I'm not a picture processing specialist (hell, I'm not even
sure what subsampling is).

The picture is the rose from the standard libjpeg distribution.

Definitely not, it's the same library that you find on the average
