Hi all,
I am trying to Port linux on a assabet board using kernel version 2.4.0
I have patched it with the patches given in the
site.http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~wearable/software/assabet.html
The host system is a red hat linux 7.0 one.
I have used angel boot to load the kernel.
Actually I am getting a TUX on the LCD screen but nothing on the serial
Port.
And a cursor blinking on the LCD after that,after I had booted the kernel.My
problems once
the download is completed I am not getting any thing on the serial port.
What is this
configuration there in the opt or the .angelrc file?
baud 115200
after the line "options 9600 8N1"
The Sa1100 default baud rate has been choosen as 9600 in the kernel
configuration by
default
We used the RAMDISK given by Nicholas.
I have set the CONFIG_SERIAL_CONSOLE=y ,in the kernel settings.
Since angel was not working as expected we went ahead with blob.In blob also
everything
went on fine .Here too we faced a problem ,we were able to download the
kernel to the
target at only 9600 not at 115200.There was some problem.Here too after
copying the
kernel image and the RAM DISK there was this message on the serial Port
Starting the kernel.....
After that we got a message
Uncompressing the kernel.................booting the kernel....
After that no messages on the serial Port .
What could be the problem?
