Which was to be expected because the kernel wants to be loaded at
0x00080000 (if I remember correctly).

You've probably misconfigured your kernel.

Unfortunately I don't have any hands-on experience with the IQ80310, I
only assisted Nico with the latest bits of the port in New York. I'd
like to suggest to take this question to the linux-arm-kernel mailing
list. You 'll have a higher chance on getting a correct answer over
there because there are at least three arm-linux on XScale developers
subscribed to that list.

I've never been able to make Linux boot with any version of Redboot so far.
Redboot seems to have bugs of its own at the moment.

Your best bet is to download the FRU utility for that board from Intel's
site and flash Cygmon instead.  Then you should be able to follow the
instructions in the kickstart kit or the patch release notes.

Also note that boards prior to revision F contain design mistakes that
prevent Linux from reliably make use of any PCI devices except for the
on-board ethernet.  Intel is supposed to make available new boards (rev F)
by the end of the month.
