It should mean 8N1. I run at 115200, and the same terminal emulator 
settings work for the bootloader, kernel console, and getty.

Hm. I can't remember if I tested against this configuration. (I also 
wish this silliness would go away, but that's another discussion.)

I don't have any ARM machines with me right now. I'll check this out 
later today and get back to you.
