5kHz timer interrupt

Hi all, I need a 5kHz and a 2.5Hz frequency as a source to drive my beeper. If we modify the HZ from default 100Hz to whatever I need and recompile the kernel again, the OS will have a very fast tick which may have influence on the timer task queue.  What's the best way to do this?     Song Iders Engineering Inc 600A Clifton St. Winnipeg, Manitoba  R3G 2X6 Canada
