The IQ80310 will only accept cards that are 3.3v capable and I don't
know of any PCI vga cards that do so. If anyone is aware of one, please
do so as I've been wanting to make a workstation out of one of my
IQ boards. :)
The IQ80310 is not really meant for display type applications but more for
I/O processing systems. I'm assuming you want a display to provide
feedback to the user on whatever application is being run on the system.
Your best bet is to stick the card into a PC and communicate between the
host cpu and the XScale by using the messaging unit and then write a custom
app that displays your board status or whatever it is you wish to do.
That does add cost to the system by requiring a separate host CPU, so a
cheaper way to do so is to do all your display remotely using the
onboard ethernet. You could either run X on the XScale and $DISPLAY it
across the network, or run something like apache+perl(or php) on the
XScale and then just do all your management from another system.
If you're willing to provide some more details about your application,
I can give you some more pointers.
