I'm trying to download a precompiled Blob using JFLASH. I have tried both Jflash-1.2-1 from ftp://ftp.netwinder.org/users/n/nico/ and Jflash from blob-kit-assabet-1.3 from ftp://ftp.netwinder.org/users/c/chagas/arm-linux-assabet/. I have also tried using both Linux and Win98. First tries I got the following: ---------------------------------------------------- JFLASH Version 1.2 Using LPT port at 0x378 SA-1110 revision B4 Number of blocks in device = 128 Block size = 65536 0x10000 Device size = 16777216 0x1000000 Starting erase Error, Block erase timed out -------------------------------------------------------- Now I don't even get that far, I get: ---------------------------------------------------- JFLASH Version 1.2 Using LPT port at 0x378 SA-1110 revision B4 error reading flash attribute soace check cables, power and flash sockets ----------------------------------------------------- And with blob-kit-assabet-1.3: ----------------------------------------------------- error reading flash attribute space Q ----------------------------------------------------- Any ideas? Could it be the Assabet JTAG-cable? Are there any jumpers on the Assabet I have missed? What Parallel port setting should be used on the PC, I have tried several? I'm a bit stuck... I'm using a SuSE 7.2 PC (with 2.4.14 arm-kernel-source for building arm apps).
