read a previous mail of mine:
The problem was the wrong configuration of the SMSC 9196 chip on board
(should use no wait state of course!). I haven't tested the overall
performance of the system. But netio reports about 800kb/s with this
display compared to 1000kb/s withoout display.
If anybody is interested in the settings I can post them here.
But I still have one problem: There are a few lines missing on the display
bottom regardles what >I set in the v/hsync timings. Any glue? Well it
isn't that importent since we don't use that display anyhow

Hi,
We are using the Assabet board with the Nippon set. We have ported
Konqueror for this. When we tried to access any server on LAN we are
facing LCD display flickering and due to this can't see any thing on the
display. LCD display starts flickering as soon as we connect the LAN
cable to the device.
When we connect the device to the server directly, so that only
server and device is on the Network then we don't face flickering and
able to view pages on server. But in this case we have observed
flickering while transferring large size files from server to device.
Why this is happening? Why display starts flickering as soon as we
connect the LAN cable to the device? Whether somebody has faced such
problem? What is the solution to this problem? It will be great help to
us if somebody suggest the solution to this problem.
We are using Konqueror "snapshot 20011204", with the following configure
options -
