I'd suggest continuing to use the compressed kernel in that case.  The
compressed kernel is screaming "Data Corruption!" at you in an obvious
way that the uncompresed kernel isn't able to do.

As Jeff says, try running at the lowest speed, preferably with the
compressed kernel and see if that fixes the CRC errors.
