I have been able to partition an APDL drive with the latest PartMan from
the 'testing' directory of the ftp site. I had to set the number of
cylinders however. I had already got a filecore partition on it.

However ... the latest APDL card has a different card ID from earlier
ones. Mine is v6c which ARMLinux doesn't find on bootup. Parents' is v6b
which ARMLinux does find correctly. Manufacturer id has changed from 0x3c
to 0x3d IIRC.

I also had fun with the installer (using parents' card); it stiffs the
machine completely on reaching the 'Partition disk' stage. Not being a
linux hack yet I don't quite know what to try next!

PartMan lists three partitions, as does booting ARMLinux, but no table.
Presumably it doesn't need a table anyway because IDEFS has its own?
