It appears to be there. Here is an ls from the arm machine (in single
user mode):
linux-cp:/# cd /dev
linux-cp:/dev# ls -l tty1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root tty 4, 1 Feb 19 1999 tty1
linux-cp:/dev#
The permissions and such are the same as for the other tty devices. It
does appear strange that getty cannot access it (I'm assuming it's getty
that is trying to access /dev/tty1 at this point in the bootup.) I
thought it might have been the fact I didn't have the virtual terminal
option in my .config file, but I reconfiged, recompiled, and rebooted
with the same results.
