This starts to get worring, since PartMan is writing the idents to the
disk /somewhere/, and it could be doing it anywhere at all...

I know what this problem is, and I'm currently waiting to do the final
2.0 release, which with any luck should be a 2.0.37 kernel.  To reiterate,
this will be the final 2.0 kernel.

It will be accompanied by the usual gubbings of disk images and such
like, plus, with any luck, those misterious missing kernel packages...
