Subject: Development tools for Linux/ARM

Hello all, I am new to Linux and the ARM development. I am planning to work
on a project that will be using the Linux arm port with a StrongArm
processor. I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best
cross-development tools/compiler/debugger to use?
Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks.

joe

hi,
Use binutils-2.95.2
gcc-2.95.2
glibc-2.1.2 also glibc-linuxthreads and glibc-crypts pertaining to
glibc-2.1.2

as far as gdb is concerned try gdb-4.18

intel's site on strongarm-cross development toolchain is a good
startup .they got a good tutorial on setting up arm-cross dev
toolchain for SA-1100

Hope that helps

cheers
mike
