They are both famous Swiss made tape-recorders. The Nagra was used in the field by pretty much every radio station and in film synchronized with camera (using real film, not video.) using EBU/SMPTE. It weighs way too much to be truly portable. I have a never ending love/hate relation to it ... The 24 track Studer was one of the more expensive multitrackers of its time.
