Well the FAUST compiler somewhat produces the "nude" C++ class that has to be wrapped with an architecture file to produce any useful output (standalone application, plug-ins....). The differents MakeFile included in the /examples folder can be used directly, or are a good starting point to refine yours. Not that the tools/faust2appls also contains scripts to compile individual .dsp files (assuming again that you've previously installed QT libraryn if you want to compile QT standalone applications... or GTK... of LADSPA..etc..).
