Hi, here with:

Kernel 2.6.39 with CONFIG_IRQ_FORCED_THREADING=y

i have GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="threadirqs" configured in /etc/default/grub file.
Remember to run update-grub if you modify /etc/default/grub file.

I've been trying to find some docs on how to get the kernel to boot with
the threadirqs by default, and not needing to pass that option manually at
boot time (or editing a boot config).
Or, any boot option for that matter..

Anyone care to shed some light on this? :)

Thank you, but this only solves adding the boot parameter for a particular system install. I would prefer finding out how to add it to a kernel source, alternatively, a kernel package source. How can I build the kernel to have the threadirqs option by default?
