building and installing JACK was hard.
making it work with the audio chipset was hard (no duplex mode, or
asymmetric parameters required)
RT kernels are hard, sometimes.
the command  line is obscure.
the manual page isn't (wasn't?) accurate.
which version of JACK to use.
