I am (somewhat idly) working towards this still, but it probably won't
make the upcoming round of major releases.  JSON-LD is much, much more
complicated to implement, specifically because it's *not* just a dumb
syntactic veneer for triples.

It does, however, not look weird, which is probably worth the effort,
even though it makes real the (currently imagined) problem of needing
access to vocabularies to parse anything at all.
