i've edited an 18GB audio clip in ardour (an entire disk's worth, more
or less)

as noted, i'll add part one of this (export track markers for cdrdao
and/or cdrecord) today; part two, subprocess execution of cdrdao or
cdrecord will take a little longer). right now, you could export the
file to WAV, then burn it using the track markers that you
exported.
