I have never done any GUI programming before. Writing these comprehensive widgets with cool knobs, smooth slides, graphical equalizers etc. seems difficult though.
I think an effort should be undertaken to get a group of people to write these damn things :) I fear model-view-controller separation doesn't apply here, as we are entirely in the view realm. So we are stuck basicly to implement these things for *all* the major toolkits, GTK, QT, etc. Alexander: how feasible is such projects ? Call it LinuSWiP (or an even more stupid name ;) Linux sound widget project. Just thinking out loud here. Maybe some people from a GUG (Gimp User Group) could do some graphical stuff ? regards Vincent On Wed, Jun 12, 2002 at 02:01:46AM -0700, Michael Toomim wrote: >Alexander Ehlert wrote: >>You just have to find someone who likes GUI programming... > >I like GUI programming! >
