IMO, Wigner-Ville and Gabor gives best results. However, care should be
taken when choosing functions for coefficient generation. Otherwise you end
up fooling yourself with the results...

Good book to read on subject; "Joint time-frequency analysis, Methods and
applications" by Shie Qian and Dapang Chen (Prentice Hall).
