Hm, I don't know what topics will be covered by the talks, but two things related to both audio and networking come to my mind, which may be covered at LAC: streaming media and OSC. OSC surely will show up as at least a side topic in several talks. If you tell your boss, that OSC is basically IP based RPC for - not only - musical applications, he might already be convinced. Streaming media might also be a topic, as Linux is a natural choice for everything Net which includes streaming sound and video.
