If you mean the "Moog" filters, it's not arbitrary, but 1/octave as for everything in AMS, for which they were written. I never had a bug report for this, rather the opposite. And why then should *you* be getting them ? If OTOH you mean the 4-band parametric, it does take frequency control values in Hz (and gains in dB).
