What exactly is this card?
I mean, can it do all the things my AWE32 can (digital audio, MIDI,
SoundFont banks, synth, effects, etc...)? Can it do more?
And most important, can it do it in Linux, using the tools we know
(awesfx, awemidi, ...)?
I'm asking this because the SB64 PCI is really cheap and was rated quite
well in a sound-card comparison chart (http://www.pcavtech.com/).
Another reason is that ISA slots are not that popular on new motherboards.
But playing with AWE's synth is so much fun. I'd like to be able to do
that with the new computer too.
