Vc tem provavelmente um teclado ABNT2, certo?

Eu odeio esses teclados mas tenho uns aqui nos EUA para experi�ncias. vc tem
que arrumar a configura��o do seu X e fica beleza.

Olha como fazer :

O que voce pode fazer tb � editar o /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 e colocar o
seguinte na Se��o "InputDevice"

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier  "Keyboard0"
Driver      "keyboard"
Option      "XkbRules" "xfree86"
Option      "XkbModel" "abnt2"
Option      "XkbLayout" "br"
EndSection

altere o XF86Config tb no dir /etc/X11/
