Fala ai pessoal, tudo bom? Hoje de manh eu postei uma mensagem perguntando sobre a possibilidade de implementar Quota sobre partio ext3. Pesquisei e descobri que no d certo. At ai tudo bem.
Mas, descobri um filesystem que suporta journalling e compatvel com quota. O nome dele XFS (responsvel: SGI). Algum por um acaso j usou ou usa esse filesystem? Se sim, me diga a opinio. Se foi difcil? Algum macete?!?!? OBS: Eu tenho -> RedHat 7.2 - kernel-2.4.9-31 OBS2: Homepage aonde eu achei: http://oss.sgi.com/ ou http://www.sgi.com/software/xfs/ ou http://oss.sgi.com/projects/xfs/ Q: What is XFS? XFS is a journalling filesystem developed by SGI and used in SGI's IRIX operating system. It is now also available under GPL for linux. It is extremely scalable, using btrees extensively to support large and/or sparse files, and extremely large directories. The journalling capability means no more waiting for fsck's or worrying about meta-data corruption. XFS - File System Introducing XFS, XFSTM is the next-generation file system for SGI systems, from desktop workstations to supercomputers. XFS provides full 64-bit file capabilities that scale easily to handle extremely large files and file systems that grow to 1 terabyte. The XFS file system integrates volume management, guaranteed rate I/O, and journaling technology for fast, reliable recovery. File systems can be backed up while still in use, significantly reducing administrative overhead.
