S pra complementar, os comentrios de um usurio (remaja) em
http://www.linuxandmain.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=83

"You only need to pay $$$ when you use the UnitedLinux(tm) trademark,
join the consortium and to certify your software. Almost identical to
other consortiums. [...] Just imagine a thousand companies having
"Powered by UnitedLinux" on their OS boxes, even if isn't fully
compatible with UnitedLinux nor even based on it. [...] Don't critize
before having proof they are actually not having Free Software. ***There
isn't a release for goodness sake!***" (nfase minha).

Mais adiante, wwrafter diz:

"Every developer has the right (actually, the responsibility) to choose
the license for the work they do.

The GPL says, (paraphrasing of course) "If you modify the code, you must
make those mods publicly available."

I have not seen anything that would lead me to believe UnitedLinux is in
any way even attempting to circumvent this. What I have seen is a group
of companies fed up with the differences in the distros. So much so that
they want to create a "new" distro that implements the LSB. I think they
should be applauded for this. Without an implementation, a standard is
nothing but theory. [...]"

Outro comentrio interessante, de keb:

"Per seat charging makes some sense for a training, maintenance and
customization contract, because the number of support hours and the
resources required increase with the number of users. Per seat charging
also makes sense if you are supplying that many printed copies of
documentation or other physical media."

E por fim, chafurdei naquele site inteiro, e fora o ul_presentarion.pdf
que ainda no li (pow, so 1.8 mega!), no vi nenhuma linha dando a
entender que o cdigo GPL da distro sera distribudo "per seat basis".
