Meu nome é Ricardo, e sou novo aqui na lista.
Um novo filho: Se tudo correr bem a comunidade Linux acaba de ganhar
mais um filho, de tanto se comentar na Internet Linux pra cá e Linux pra
lá, percebi que esse será o sistema do futuro e já está sendo, então
resolvi conhecer e encarar meus medos, pois confesso que tenho medo do
Linux, medo de não conseguir aprender.
histórico: Há 2 dias instalai a distribuição Mandrake 9.2 pois ouvi
comentários que esta seria uma versão mais amigável para iniciantes, não
sei se a escolha foi correta. Ao conseguir instalar e ver o sistema
funcionando fiquei fascinado e de imediato comecei a "fuçar" no "
bicho", mas como nem tudo é um mar de rosas já encontrei meu primeiro
obstáculo ao tentar incluir novos e diferentes programas, pois não quero
ficar preso aos programas que acompanham a distribuição.
Fui instalar o XMMS 1.2.8 pois ouvi dizer que é o Winamp do Linux, me
deparei com o seguinte erro:

Pelo q constatei, falta o GLIB 1.2.2 ou algo assim, já pesquisei em tudo
quanto é canto, fiz testes, e não obtive sucesso, por isso recorro a
lista, pois de maneira alguma consegui instalar esse GLIB 1.2.2.
Desculpe a pergunta idiota, pois para os usuários avançados isso deve
ser muito, muito, muitoooo, fácil de resolver, mas para mim q tenho
apenas 2 dias de Linux está sendo muito penoso, haja visto, q no Windows
você apenas clica, geralmente em um arquivo SETUP e o resto o instalador
faz.
