The use of a '!' for NOT, may be used in some mathmatical/philosophical
circles. I suspect that if this is on it is used to draw attention for
special conditions, such as false conditions, as '!' means "with
emphasis".
"NO!" is also used more often when educating children, BASIC and Pascal
programmers than "YES!". Is this mere chance ? I don't think so.
