GFS requires fencing (even if DRBD doesn't). I wrote a howto here to make GFS/DRBD work: http://sources.redhat.com/cluster/wiki/DRBD_Cookbook The examples have power-based fencing where we shut the node off and report to DRBD that "external STONITH succeeded".
