This is a very common question, and the answer is the same every time.  If you 
want to have 
multiple nodes accessing the same filesystem, there needs to be the 
synchronization between 
them to prevent corruption.

This is handled by the cluster framework - so, effectively, to use a clustering 
filesystem 
you need to be running a cluster.
