RPMs What where?

Howdie,

How can I get information concerning the current-most up to date version
of an RPM software pack, and where it is available for downloads? Isn't
there like a search engine or something? Or an ftp-site that contains
all rpm packages available and has an overseeable and easy to navigate
structure? Hmm?
