Hi everybody !
I am trying Instal Red Hat 5.0 in new servers DELL 2300
Troubles presents with 18 Gb Hard Disk that comes in this servers.
Bios recognize correctly when start up in scsi ID0 and ID1 respectively both disks.
SCSI ID:0 QUANTUM QM318000TD-SCA ULTRA-LVD - Hard Disk 0
SCSI ID:1 QUANTUM QM318000TD-SCA ULTRA-LVD - Hard Disk 1
But in Red Hat installation I can't continues the installation I think is because I
can't make partitions in hard disks.
When I push INSTALL appears a window saying "Disk Setup". I have two choices for
partitioning and setting up mount points <disk Druid> and <fdisk>.
when I choose Disk Druid appears :
"An error has ocurred - no valid drives were found on which create new filesystems.
Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem"
and when I choose fdisk says:
"You don't have any hard drives available ! You problably forgot configure a SCSI
controller"
An finally I try with boot and root disk of slackware version
I try fdisk but appears always :
Unable to open /dev/sda
Can you tell me how I fix this troubles?
Recently I install REd Hat in servers DELL 4200 and 2200 but with 9 GB HD.
And these occurs for two servers 2300 here.
Thanks
