I can say that the 3com 3c59x line works well, with a hitch for multiple cards.

I'm actually running two systems with two interfaces using the 3c59x cards.

At bootup, if you do a warm boot (not hard reset or power on) I have to load the module for the cards, then remove the module, then reload it before allowing ifconfig to configure the interfaces, otherwise, the system hangs.  I wrote a few lines to do it before ifconfig in rc.inet1 ( I'm running slackware, but there should be a similar possibility in Redhat, or maybe your kernal module will have no problem.)

Otherwise, the cards work well.

With the issue, though, don't know if this is an endorsement or not, but I'm satisfied with the end result.

Hi all,

I am setting up a Linux box with 3 network interfaces. It would
be best if they could support FastEthernet (100Mbps)... Could someone
tell me which 100Mbps (or 10/100 combo) cards are supported under
linux (I will be deploying Redhat 5.2)? Recommendations on which
ones are good are appreciated.

TIA,
Lei
