Those kinds of remarks are unproductive, useless, and may, more than anything
else, reveal the inadequacies of the one who is making the statement. Why not
be honest and simply state that you can't understand the documentation? Perhaps
(just in case the author is reading this mailing list), now that you've made
such a statement, you should also make as public an apology.

The sendfax command wants a g3 file. If you would like to FAX a PostScript
file, then you should either convert it to g3 yourself (via the digifax driver
of ghostscript), or use the faxspool and faxrunqd commands.

Perhaps your problem was that you didn't know how to supply in-line standard
input to a command. Most shells accept a double left angle bracket "<<"
followed by a token, and then send all subsequent input lines, until but not
including, a line containing only that token, to the command being invoked as
its standard input. Shell variable substitution is performed on these lines.
