What parameters are you invoking PPPD with? If you're using RedHat and have set
up the IFCFG network script, what does it contain?

As an aside, as it's unrelated to your problem and reasonably harmless, why
does your CHAT script send a lowercase "r" before "AT"? Did you intend this to
be a carriage return and forgot the backslash?

There is no helpful information here. Assuming that you've insured that the
correct userid and password are being used, one possibility is that you're
trying to statically specify a local and/or remote IP address whereas your ISP
insists that it must assign it/them to you dynamically. If you're invoking PPPD
directly, then you can check for this by looking for an option which looks like
an IP address or which contains a colon (remember to check $HOME/.ppprc,
/etc/ppp/options, and /etc/ppp/options.ttyS2). If you're using a RedHat IFCFG
script, then check your IPADDR and REMIP settings.
