Hi, Is there a parameter I can use that will ignore a certain SCSI ID from being probed? I have RedHat linux running on a machine with an Astor chassis (with a hotswap backplane). The backplane uses SCSI ID 6, and whenever linux probes the scsi id's it finds all the drives, but as soon as it finds ID 6 it displays the name of the backplane, and then just timeouts. It keeps on resetting the SCSI bus and time-outs again. I would of course be nice to actually use the hotswap backplane in linux, but if I cannot, I just simply want to disable its detection. There is no way in the hardware (that I have found) that you can disable the backplane. Any help would be appreciated! - Thanks, Andre'
