I just got 2.2.5 and compiled;
compiled my sound directly in the kernel the card is
a ES1688 io=0x220 irq=7 drq=1,5 and second io=338
I've been compiling kernels since 2.0.30 and none of
them has correctly supported my sound.
The nearest it gets is to play sound for a while then
exit with this error:
Sound: DMA (output) timed out - IRQ/DRQ config error?
I couldn't have misconfigured anything because these
setting I found in the BIOS and I've previously tried
other configurations.
