Help!
I'm installing RH4.2 on a pentium, but can't get past the first boot after
the installation. Either the system hangs before LILO appears, or it boots
until the root partition is mounted read only and then says:
Unable to open an initial console
What does this mean?
I've installed this cd on several other boxes with no problems. I tried a
new motherboard (the first was new, also). I changed the harddrive, video
card (to a different type that works in other boxes), and removed
extraneous cards. The installation went without a hitch.
Any ideas?
